A couple of weeks ago, director Billie Mintz got in touch with me to design a poster for his latest documentary called Jesus Town, USA. It's a quirky little movie I've whole-heartedly enjoyed with a cast you can't help but fall in love with (particularly the loveable 'new' Jesus, Zack Little).

It was important to us while creating this poster that it evoked an eccentric yet respectable feel. We didn't want it to fall into a clownish territory, where it looked like we were poking fun at Christianity, the Passion Play or the community involved but rather a fun, comical approach to a town's long-time tradition that brings them, and visitors, much joy. I believe Billie & I were able to put together this whimsical aspect quite nicely, just in time for his first festival entry. And it's definitely a plus that the cast seemed to respond very well to it.

It's been a thrill working with him and I can't wait to see the success of his hard work upon entering festival season.
